This is one of the few plants that has a Bio-Mechanical appendage. It can move !!! to be blunt. Yes this plant responds to touch by folding it’s leaves shut. Scientist speculate that this is a survival mechanism meant to protect the plant from hungry herbivores. Just give the plant a gentle poke and watch. Growing Facts: This plant prefers bright light and is not cold hardy. It tends to grow like a shrubish vine with small thorns along the stem. The flowers are indeterminate and blooms in small nickel sized pink pom poms. The plant only needs light and about 10 minutes to re open it’s leaves after touching. Water regularly. This plant does drop it’s older leaves so do not be surprised if you see small dead leaves on the ground.
