With its chestnut brown pileus and vigorous growth habit in situ, it was immediately acknowledged to be a unique and popular variety of this species. Habitat: Bovine, Equine Dung and Enriched Soils Climate: Subtropical Strain Origin: Unknown Gills: Attachment adnate to adnexed. Grayish coloration in young fruit bodies becoming nearly black in maturity.
