Blue Sunburst is a new and stunning Ochra variety from Cluster Duck Mycology. The center of the cap is a gorgeous deep blue hue, which is how it got its name. Just like other Ochras, Blue Sunburst is very easy to study and is extremely resistant to contamination. Interestingly, this variety also has relatively thick and bulbous stems for its species making it that much more unique to work with. You will also notice extremely chunky veils which makes them almost look like they are wearing little scarves. If you’re looking for something new to research, then we highly recommend Ochra “Blue Sunburst”!
