Dreadmaw Spores: Syringes, Prints & Isolates

Dreadmaw is a modern Psilocybe cubensis isolate that has become popular with UK vendors and collectors over the last few years. Its pedigree has not been published; listings that give a parentage are passing on the vendor's own account. The name is a breeder's invention and does not describe a collection site.

Ask the vendor whether their Dreadmaw is a pigmented or a pale line, since that decides whether the print is purple-brown or faint. Spores are subellipsoid, in the usual cubensis range of around 11 to 17 by 7 to 10 micrometres. Dreadmaw is sold as isolate syringes and swabs; the label should carry the isolate name and the generation.
