Its pedigree has not been published in any detail; where a listing names parents, that is the vendor's own account. It is sold under the one name by a small number of vendors rather than as a widespread multispore.
Print colour depends on the line: a pigmented isolate gives purple-brown, a pale one gives a faint print, and the vendor should say which. Spores are subellipsoid, in the usual cubensis range of around 11 to 17 by 7 to 10 micrometres.
