Mexican is a Psilocybe cubensis collection sold under a name that causes constant confusion. It is not Psilocybe mexicana, a separate and much smaller species that is also found in Mexico and is sold on its own. Vendors sometimes write Mexican cubensis or Mexicana cubensis to make the distinction, and the label should always state the species in full.
As a cubensis it is a classic multispore strain, with a purple-brown print and subellipsoid spores of about 11 to 17 by 7 to 10 micrometres. Psilocybe mexicana spores are smaller, so the two are separable at the microscope as well as by name. Mexican is sold as multispore syringes and prints, and the label should give the generation.
Every Mexican listing above comes from an independent vendor who prepared it, and the vendor's country, shipping regions and real customer reviews are on their store page. Labels tell you what you are getting: a multispore syringe carries many genetic individuals, an isolate (ISO) is a single worked line, and prints and swabs are the dry, long-life formats. Isolated vs multispore syringes explains the difference, how to store spore syringes covers shelf life, and how to use a spore syringe for microscopy walks through the slide. Buying in the UK?
